Q.

A.
Let us know that you need help. We have several
experienced coaches who are willing to help. WVYSL and
CYSA also offer coaching classes.
Q.
Can I request my child to be in a team with friends?
We
understand wishes of players to play with friends and
requests will be considered. However, WVYSL registers
approximately 1,000 children and due to the size, it is
not possible to honor every request.
Q.
What about practices?
A.
WYYSL does not dictate to the coach when or where to
practice. We urge coaches to have a meeting with the
parents so practice and carpooling issues can be
discussed.
Q.
What equipment does my child need?
A.
WVYSL provides each recreational league player with a
jersey, a pair of shorts, and a pair of socks. You will
need to provide your player with shin guards, soccer shoes

without shin guards.
