WV Revolution 99G Red

PRACTICE/TRAINING:

SadhanaBobbyJoeThe Revolution Red team players practice on a Tues/Thurs/Fri schedule during the Fall season; practices are two hours.  We practice late afternoon to allow girls to complete school activities and homework before practice.  Girls are asked to make the commitment to try to attend at least 80% of practices. During the winter and summer off seasons, the girls practice twice a week.

We  take a 3-week long winter break, AllisonHeader and a 4-week summer break, and we are usually off on major holidays. In the off-season, the girls continue their development by playing a  scrimmage, indoor soccer game, or 5v5 friendly game once a week.  Over the winter, in past years our players have participated in futsal; this year, the players have chosen to play indoor soccer and the WV 5v5 friendlies to continue to hone their skills. Optional clinics and training are available throughout the year, as well, and many girls attend summer camps together.
Coach Vinko has been coaching the core of this team for three years now. He is currently assisted by 2 licensed parent assistant coaches: Marca Lombardo & Milivoje Cvjetinovic, and one team assistant, Sandra Smith-Dugan.  There is nearly always at least one assistant at practice.

In addition to playing soccer, our girls and families enjoy spending time together off the field. We usually have a variety of social activities including swimming, potlucks, birthday parties, and community service (e.g., preparing and serving a meal at a women and children’s shelter this past Spring).
