Most comp teams play several tournaments each year. Word of mouth is often the best way to find good tournaments. Experienced coaches and managers will have recommendations if asked.

Registration varies based on the tournament. Some are online, some through gotsoccer, some through paper. It’s always wise to read all rules before registering for a tournament since they vary.
The team manager will generally need to check the team into the tournament prior to the start of play – often the night before. To do so, the team manager will need to bring the team binder (see team documents & software), and a copy of the roster (CYSA goldenrod, or US club roster), in addition to any tournament registration paperwork.
West Valley Youth Soccer League (WVYSL) is a non-profit (501 (c) 3), and volunteer-based organization, serving the youth of West San Jose, Campbell, and portions of Saratoga, Los Gatos, and Cupertino. The league was founded in 1968. WVYSL offers recreational, competitive and select level of plays for U8 to U19 players, and Micro soccer for U4 to U6.
All WVYSL coaches are mandated to take Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) courses, and uses iSoccer standards for player skill development.
