Mise
Park Usage Policy |
- Any team who wishes to
use Mise Park from now through December 2001 must pay
the league $100 in advance. Even if they want to be on
the field only one or two times, they must still pay
the $100. The City of San Jose charges the league a
substantial fee to use Mise Park, and it is only fair
that the small number of teams that use Mise should
share the cost.
- Any team who wishes to
use Mise from Jan. 2 through Feb. 28 must pay the
league an additional $50 in advance.
- The preferred maximum
number of teams at Mise at one time is three, although
there may be up to four teams scheduled depending on
the circumstances, such as during the period of
heaviest usage (mid-October through Nov. 9).
- Teams will be given one
practice a week, unless the field is available, in
which case they can request to be scheduled two or
more times a week.
- A practice session will
be scheduled to a maximum of 2 hours.
- A team may bring its own
practice goal over to Mise, as long as they remove it
when their session ends. West Valley cannot store any
equipment at Mise. The city prefers that teams set
their goals in different locations at each practice so
as not to wear down the same parts of the turf.
- Teams must observe the
times on our permits. Our permit times are 5:30 p.m.
to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Other groups may
be using Mise; for example, Mitty has it until 5:30
p.m., and other groups may be there starting at 7:30
p.m. West Valley teams must walk off the field
promptly at 7:30 p.m. if there are other groups
waiting to use the9. To make a request to be scheduled
at Mise Park, contact Liz van den Abeelen at
secretary@wvysl.org. Written requests (email
preferred) only, please. When making a request, be
sure to include exact starting and stopping dates.
- Teams that are not
scheduled for Mise must not attempt to use the field.
Violators will be referred to the league board for
disciplinary action.
